- The Purple Knights connected on the first goal of the game in the first period at 7:46 when FitzGibbon took a slap shot that was saved by Holm, and Canterbury gathered the rebound and backhanded the puck through the five-hole to make the score 1-0.
- The Sharks scored their first goal of the contest in the second period at 7:06, when Lenaeus scored on a shot from the point that snuck past Lavender to equalize the contest.
- LIU scored its second goal of the period at 13:36 after a pass from Miller from behind the net found the stick of Babington, who took a shot to put the Sharks on top 2-1.
- The Sharks scored their final goal of the night in the third period at 14:18 as Lantto scored on the rebound of her own shot to make the score 3-1.
