COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College women's basketball team closed its home slate with a 47-38 loss to 21st-ranked Le Moyne College on Wednesday during Northeast-10 Conference play in the Ross Sports Center. The Dolphins' national ranking is according to D2SIDA, which also slots them second in the East Region.

THE ACTION
- Slaven buried a three-pointer 1:18 into the game for the opening points, and Saint Michael's continued to lead for all but 40 seconds the remainder of the first half, going up by as much as 17-10 on MacDonough's jumper at 6:14 of the second quarter.
- Lusher knocked down a tying triple at 1:02, but MacDonough hit a jumper 26 seconds later, and the hosts carried a 19-17 edge into the locker room.
- After opening the game 1-for-12 from beyond the arc, Le Moyne knocked down three straight triples in a matter of 1:47 early in the third stanza, with Linnin burying two, during a go-ahead 10-0 run that provided the Dolphins a 28-19 lead by 5:53.
- The visitors pushed their lead to 11 on three occasions, but Saint Michael's trimmed its deficit to six twice, at 42-36 on Laggis' jumper with 4:09 left in the fourth period and again 44-38 at 58 seconds on Blake's hoop.
- However, Roberts made a pair of free throws 12 seconds later, and the Purple Knights missed their next shot.
