MANCHESTER, N.H. - Senior Jack Murphy scored his second goal 22 seconds into overtime to help Saint Anselm College fell the Saint Michael's College men's ice hockey team, 4-3, on Saturday during a key Northeast-10 Conference affair in Sullivan Arena.

Thanks to senior Matt Schreiner (Falmouth, Mass./Walpole Express) forcing overtime with a late goal, the Purple Knights salvaged a point from the weekend series and remained third in the league with 26 points. Saint Anselm and Assumption University are tied for first with 34 apiece. The Greyhounds visit Cairns Arena next weekend.

THE ACTION

• McCarthy went glove side on Howard on a shot from the left circle just 1:35 into the game, but Alberti leveled the score just 12 seconds later, splitting the defense at the blue line before taking a stretch pass and beating Murphy to his glove hand.
• Ciancio struck for a go-ahead power-play goal at 11:48 of the second period, picking the corner on Howard's glove side from the middle of the slot.
• Murphy tied the game at 18:29 on a power play, shooting from the slot past a screened Murphy.
• On the same five-minute man advantage, Lemay scored in nearly identical fashion at 1:26 of the third period, tallying from the slot past a screened netminder.
• With the Purple Knights on a late power play and Murphy pulled to give his team a 6-on-4 advantage, Schreiner tied the game once more with 1:54 left in regulation, one-timing Gagnon's pass from the left circle.
