MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Saint Michael's College women's ice hockey team put a scare into second-place Saint Anselm College on Saturday, leading until early in the third period before losing a 5-4 decision in Sullivan Arena to cap a New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) weekend series.

GAME FACTS
- The Purple Knights lost the season series to Saint Anselm, 0-3-1, but that included today's one-goal loss, yesterday's 1-1 tie, and a pair of 4-2 setbacks in November.
- Harrison moved into a tie for seventh in program history with her 26th career assist. She had four points in the last three games while extending her goals streak to three contests.
- Saint Michael's was narrowly edged in faceoffs, 29-28.
- Ruiz turned in her second career multi-goal game.
THE ACTION
- Junior Abigail Blair's slapshot from the slot gave the Hawks a 1-0 lead 2:24 into the contest, and Golini pushed home a loose puck at the right post with 15:35 gone.
- Saint Michael's started a three-goal surge 21 seconds later, as Ruiz picked off a pass outside the blue line before going in alone on Kelley, making a move out front to find the back of the net.
- At 1:35 of the second frame, Ruiz picked the corner on Kelley's glove side with a shot from the slot to tie the game.
- Harrison tapped in first-year Lauren Fisher's (Rothesay, New Brunswick/Rothesay Netherwood School) cross-crease pass at 9:44 to give Saint Michael's a 3-2 edge, but junior Claire Weber beat Lavender to her glove corner from the right circle 50 seconds later.
- The Purple Knights regained the lead on a power play with 11:45 gone, as Gerebi finished a scramble near the left post.
- During a Saint Anselm power play, Pancoast struck for the equalizer at 6:30 of the third period, one-timing a shot from low in the left circle.
- Turner put the Hawks back in front at 13:56, slipping in a shot from the doorstep.
- The Purple Knights pulled Lavender with 59 seconds left but were unable to put a tying attempt on net.
