LEESBURG, Fla. - The Saint Michael's College softball team lost to Truman State (Mo.) University, 13-1, in six innings and against Lock Haven (Pa.) University, 12-4, in five frames on Monday during The Spring Games at the Sleepy Hollow Sports Complex.
DOUBLEHEADER FACTS
- Saint Michael's and Truman State met for the first time, while the Purple Knights took on Lock Haven for the second time, and first since 2015.
- Senior Haley Waghorn (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs) was plunked by a pitch for the 10th time in her career during the opener, tying Saint Michael's Athletic Hall of Famer Casey Brooks '07 for third in program history.

THE ACTION
- Eberwine's one-out walk in the top of the first inning was the only baserunner for either team in the opening three frames.
- The Bulldogs scored four runs on three hits and a key error in the fourth, as Klein, Unrein and senior Macy Taylor all came through with an RBI single. Three of the four runs were unearned.
- Truman State pulled away with three runs in the fifth and six in the sixth.
- Waghorn was hit by a pitch to begin the home half before coming around to score on Davidson's single.

- Devens drilled a three-run homer to straightaway center field with one down in the top of the first inning.
- Sophomore Bella Schmitt hit a two-run single in the home half before junior Haley Lestician's two-run single and a two-run error keyed an eight-run second. Two more runs came around in the third.
- Connor doubled home Hearn with two out in the fourth.
- Senior Hope Hiscock (Schenectady, N.Y./Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons School) singled with one out in the fifth before Arruda walked, but the duo was stranded.
