COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College men's tennis senior Jason Boucher (Bedford, N.H./Bedford) set a school record for career wins and sophomore Sergio Barroso (Madrid, Spain/Colegio Montpellier) tied the season singles wins mark in a 7-0 victory over Norwich University on Thursday at the SMC Tennis Courts during Senior Day. Saint Michael's was 10th in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Region rankings.
Following the match, Boucher and fellow seniors Connor Scott (Bellevue, Wash./Newport), Seb Tonini (Derry, N.H./Pinkerton Academy) and Josh Weiss (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon) were recognized.

Weiss' 21 total wins this school year match Greg Keller '82 (1980-81) for third in program history, behind only Boucher.
- Barroso won his 13th singles match this school year, tying the school record Boucher set just last season. Weiss currently has 12 this season while Boucher adds 11. No prior Purple Knight squad had ever carried three student-athletes who won at least 11 singles matches in a single season.
THE ACTION
- Du Plessis and Lundholm started doubles play with a 6-0 win at No. 3, improving to 4-1 this season, before Tonini and Weiss followed with a victory by the same score in the top spot. Boucher and Scott took a 6-1 decision in the second position.
- Each singles match ended with a 6-0, 6-0 final score, with Boucher, Tonini and Barroso clinching the match victory thanks to starting play with wins at No. 2, 4 and 3, respectively.
- Weiss, Scott and Lundholm capped the day with wins in the first, sixth and fifth spots, respectively. Lundholm is now 6-1 during his rookie campaign.
