HOOKSETT, N.H. - After playing its most recent 12 games at home, the Saint Michael's College softball team was swept in Northeast-10 Conference play by Southern New Hampshire University, 9-2 and 3-1, on Wednesday afternoon at the SNHU Softball Field.

- Sophomore Jenna Devens (Parsippany, N.J./Parsippany) pushed her season RBI total to 20, tying for eighth in program history while joining Noelle Gill '05 and Ashley Harkins '09 as the lone Purple Knights with two 20-RBI campaigns, after driving in 30 last year. Devens also became the ninth player in program history to reach the 50-RBI plateau for a career, and the first to hit the milestone as a sophomore.

THE ACTION
- Dickinson scored on a first-inning error before Garczynski's two-out RBI single made it 2-0 in the second.
- The Purple Knights plated a pair of runs the following frame, as Pratt scored on an error before junior Angelica Johns (Westbrook, Maine/Westbrook) came home on Devens' game-tying sac fly.
- During a two-run home half, junior Ari Ferrier knocked a go-ahead sac fly before the Penmen's fourth and fifth runs both scored on fielder's choices.

THE ACTION
- Ferrier staked Southern New Hampshire to a 1-0 lead with a one-out RBI single in the first frame.
- The hosts scored twice with two down in the fourth, on Dickinson's RBI knock and Ferrier's bases-loaded walk.
- After putting only one runner on base over the opening six frames, the Purple Knights brought the go-ahead run to the plate in the final inning. Johns led off with a double and came home on Devens' single and, two outs later, senior Hope Hiscock (Schenectady N.Y./Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons School) singled to put the tying run on base. However, McKechnie induced a game-ending fly out off the bat of the final hitter.
