ALBANY, N.Y. - The Saint Michael's College softball team doubled up The College of Saint Rose, 4-2, on Friday to salvage a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader split at Cathy Haker Field. The Golden Knights took the opener by a 3-2 count on a two-run, walk-off single with two down in the seventh.

THE ACTION
- Devens hit an RBI double in the first inning before scoring on Johns' single back up the middle.
- Chandler hit into an unconventional 6-3-5 double play to plate her team's first run in the home half.
- The Purple Knights loaded the bases with one out in the sixth but were unable to push across an insurance run. They put two more in scoring position with one out in a scoreless seventh.
- In the home half, Hearn got two quick outs before consecutive pinch hitters picked up hits, putting both runners in scoring position. Phillips followed by hitting a routine infield grounder but hustled to beat the throw at first base, and both runners scored for the walk-off victory.

THE ACTION
- The Purple Knights struck first once again, as Johns hit a bases-loaded fielder's choice to shortstop in the opening inning to plate Pratt.
- Fuda's RBI double with two down in the third tied the game, and DeAmelia's two-out RBI single the following frame put Saint Rose up 2-1.
- Pratt scored the tying run on a wild pitch in the fifth.
- With one down in the following inning, Arruda and Botting came through with consecutive RBI singles to provide the Purple Knights a 4-2 lead.
- Hearn set the Golden Knights down 1-2-3 in the seventh to secure the victory.
