NEW HAVEN, Conn. - First-year Jamie Hearn (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Country Day School) spun her third shutout of the season, leading the Saint Michael's College softball team to a 1-0 victory over Southern Connecticut State University in the second game of a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader on Monday at Pelz Field. The Owls took the opener, 11-2 in five innings.

- Senior Sadie Pratt (Dighton, Mass./Dighton-Rehoboth Regional) reached on a one-out error in the first inning before coming around to score on Devens' double for what proved to be the only run of the game.
- Hearn allowed only two runners to advance as far as second base, including when Miller took second on Perucki's one-out single in the sixth. However, the final two batters flew out to Hiscock in center field.
- Hearn set down the Owls in order in the home half of the seventh.
