- Báez Rentas, the only player in program history among the top 10 in both career assists (1,913) and digs (999), moved within one dig of becoming the sixth Purple Knight with 1,000 career digs, but the first setter. She passed Katie Walsh '13 (997) for sixth place on Tuesday.
THE ACTION
- The teams played through nine ties in the opening set. Neither led by more than three points until consecutive Frano kills provided the Hawks an 18-13 advantage before the visitors closed the set on a 12-3 run, forging ahead for good at 20-19 on a tandem block from Cucura and Welch.
- Frano posted a pair of aces en route to giving Saint Anselm a 6-1 lead early in the second set, and the visitors never again trailed by fewer than four points.
- Settles' kill had Saint Michael's down just 15-12 in set No. 3, but Lacerda's ensuing kill kicked off a 7-0 run.
- The Purple Knights trailed 12-9 following Farnan's ace in the fourth set before the Hawks scored 13 of the final 17 points.
