COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College men's basketball team buried a school-record-tying 19 three-pointers en route to downing Mercy University, 94-84, on Friday during the Best Western Windjammer Doc Jacobs Classic in the Ross Sports Center. In the second contest of the day, fourth-ranked Daemen University defeated Southern Connecticut State University, 84-65.

- The Purple Knights tied a school record by making 19 three-pointers, including 12 in the first half, shooting 19-of-39 (48.7%) from deep for the contest. THE ACTION
- In a 14-10 contest, Duniver buried a three-pointer at 14:16 of the first half to create the first three-possession margin, sparking a 10-0 run during which he drilled a pair of triples.
- Ethan Robertson scored eight points in a 13-2 run that brought the Mavericks within 26-23 by 8:36.
- A quick 9-0 run, during which Brzezinski, Duniver and De Leon all drained triples, made it 40-27 at 5:17, and Brzezinski's trey with 17 seconds left sent the hosts into the locker room up 58-42.
- Marold's lay-in pushed the advantage to 61-44 at 18:24 of the second stanza, but Nathan Robertson scored the final four points of a 9-2 stretch that brought Mercy within 63-53.
- Duniver and De Leon later hit threes 1:18 apart to push the lead to 75-57 with 13:23 to go, and the Purple Knights led a game-high 94-73 on redshirt first-year Greg Kenney's (Williston Park, N.Y./The Frederick Gunn School/LIU) lay-in at 1:40.
- Mercy scored the final 11 points, including making a pair of threes in the final 35 seconds, but came no closer.
