THE ACTION

- With 32.9 seconds remaining, Plunkett turned away sophomore Hayden Hanes' redirection in the slot.
- Forselius nearly scored again at 5:14 of the third period, beating the final defender to the net before having a backhanded bid stopped by Fehrenbaker's left pad.
- Wesleyan earned a power play with 32 seconds left, but two Cardinal attempts in that time were off frame and the third was blocked by senior Jack Macdonald (Baraboo, Wis./Seahawks Hockey Club), helping secure the shutout.
