DOUBLEHEADER FACTS
- Devens became the 14th Purple Knight with 100 hits in a career, including the sixth to reach the plateau as a junior. She hit the milestone one day after senior Meghan Connor (Saint Albans, Vt./BFA-Saint Albans/Endicott) picked up her 100th hit between a pair of colleges. Senior Angelica Johns (Westbrook, Maine/Westbrook) heads into the Purple Knights' Monday off day with 99 hits.
- First-year Abreanna Smith (Whitewright, Texas/Whitewright) picked up her first collegiate hit in the opener.
- Five of the Purple Knights' six games this season have been decided by a single run, including each of the past five.
- The Purple Knights are now 2-3 all-time against Slippery Rock, having played a one-run decision for the third straight year. They downed The Rock for the first time since 2006. Saint Michael's is also 2-3 versus Minnesota Crookston.

THE ACTION
- Devens' first-inning RBI single - her 100th hit - plated Johns before Connor came around on an outfield error.
- Slippery Rock scored a pair of two-out runs in the home half of the second, with Nutter knocking an RBI triple before scoring the tying run on first-year Samantha Susany's single.
- The Purple Knights immediately countered with three runs in the fourth, going ahead for good on Morey's two-run single before senior Marli Welter (Madison, N.J./Madison) walked with the bases loaded.
- Kennedy's two-out RBI triple was followed by Nutter's run-scoring single in the sixth, and The Rock trailed just 5-4.

THE ACTION
- The Purple Knights scored six runs on five hits in the bottom of the first inning. Devens knocked a two-run single before Sroczinski slugged a two-run triple. Morey and Smith added RBI singles.
- The Golden Eagles plated five on four hits in the third, utilizing a pair of RBI singles, two bases-loaded walks, and a bases-loaded wild pitch to trim the deficit to 6-5.
- Devens drilled her 18th career home run, a two-run shot, in the fourth.
- Dombrowski countered with a two-run, pinch-hit home run in the seventh. However, Richards retired the next two batters to preserve the victory.
