WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - The Saint Michael's College softball team lost to 2023 NCAA Tournament qualifier Caldwell University, 12-1, and D'Youville University, 6-2, on Wednesday during The Spring Games at the DiamondPlex Softball Complex.

THE ACTION
- The Cougars broke a scoreless deadlock with five runs on five hits and one error in the top of the third inning, when Vondracek's two-run single was immediately followed by Tavaska's two-run homer.
- Caldwell added a pair of runs in the fifth and five more in the seventh.
- The Purple Knights plated their run in the home half, as first-year pinch-runner Brynlyn Owens (Limon, Colo./Limon) scored on Kelliher's RBI single.

THE ACTION
- Davidson scored on a wild pitch in the top of the first inning before Morey's single brought home Johns, and the Purple Knights led 2-0.
- Lehnen blanked Saint Michael's from there, and her team did all of its offensive damage with a five-run fourth. Adamo's two-run double tied the game before first-year Anna Chapman's infield single drove in the winning run.
