GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - The Saint Michael's College softball team lost a pair of two-run decisions at Adelphi University, 3-1 and 10-8, on Saturday in a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader at Ficke Field.

- Junior Jenna Devens (Parsippany, N.J./Parsippany) blasted her 19th career home run, just one short of Saint Michael's Athletic Hall of Famer Noelle Gill's '05 19-year-old school record (20). Devens also moved into a tie for fifth in program history in hits (117) with Katy Newland '07.
- Senior Meghan Connor (Saint Albans, Vt./BFA-Saint Albans/Endicott) hit the ninth home run of her Saint Michael's career, and the 18th of her college career.

THE ACTION
- Wengryn's two-out RBI single in the first inning gave the Panthers a quick lead, and Shreter followed with a two-out RBI single of her own in the second.
- The Purple Knights broke through against Hibbs, the reigning NE10 Pitcher of the Year, when Devens singled home Davidson with two out in the fourth to make it 2-1.
- Klepper added to the lead with a solo home run with two down in the home half.

THE ACTION
- The Purple Knights plated five runs on five hits in the second inning, with Sroczinski knocking a two-run single and Davidson adding a two-out, two-run double, before Devens greeted Hibbs - fresh from the bullpen - with a leadoff homer in the third that made it 6-0.
- Adelphi scored a pair of runs in both the third and fourth innings, with a trio of run-scoring doubles doing the damage.
- The Panthers went ahead with six runs on just four hits in the home half of the sixth, as Winn's two-run double put them in front before Wengryn added a two-out, two-run infield single.
