COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College women's lacrosse team lost to No. 1 Pace University, 24-5, on Friday evening during Northeast-10 Conference play at Duffy Field. The Setters, who won the 2023 national championship, earned their ranking from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).

THE ACTION
- Sheehan scored a woman-up goal just 1:11 into the contest, but Drislane converted Murphy's feed at 11:17 of the opening quarter to level the score.
- Pace responded with the next five goals to kick off an 8-1 run, with Lynch scoring at 3:00 of the opening frame for her team's tally. Porcello paced the Setters with two goals and three helpers.
- Murphy tallied a woman down off of Rich's assist at 12:15 to make it 9-3.
- The visitors scored the next 15 goals by the time 3:58 remained in regulation.
- Hamilton (2:19) and Doherty (0:08) both scored in the waning minutes for the Purple Knights.
