GAME FACTS

• The teams met for the first time.
• The Purple Knights registered 13 caused turnovers on 22 Golden Falcon giveaways.
• The visitors held the hosts to a 14-for-23 clear effort while going 15-for-16 themselves.

THE ACTION

• MacDonald (14:03) and Conover (13:20) scored 43 seconds apart to give the Purple Knights a 2-0 edge after just 1:40, and Murphy's woman-down goal with five seconds to go in the opening quarter made it 7-0. Drislane had two goals and two assists in the first period.
• After Ravazza scored at 13:42 of the second frame, nine of the next 10 goals were potted by Purple Knights, with six players finding the net.
• Whitley, a starting defender, turned in her first two career points during a 3-0 spurt in the fourth quarter.
