ALBANY, N.Y. - The Saint Michael's College baseball team split a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader with The College of Saint Rose, winning 12-6 in 10 innings and losing game two 17-6 in seven innings, on Saturday at Bob Bellizzi Field.

THE ACTION
- Saint Rose scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the second inning when Motley singled to left field to drive in Deo.
- The Purple Knights responded with three runs in the top of the third inning, as Moynihan, Evan Balian, and Kolifrath all collected RBI hits, with Balian's a double.
- The Golden Knights tied the game on Deo's single to center field that plated two runs in the bottom half of the inning.
- Kolifrath and Giardina both knocked RBI doubles as the Purple and Gold scored three more runs in the top of the fifth inning to extend the lead to 6-3.
- Saint Rose tied the game with three runs in the bottom of the ninth, as Venditti and Ward both turned in RBI singles, with Ward's tying the game. The Golden Knights had two on with one down, but Trent Balian induced a pair of fly balls to escape the jam and force extra innings.
- The Purple Knights put up six runs in the first frame of free baseball, as Giardina scored the winning run on a wild pitch before Kinsella broke the game open with a three-run double.

THE ACTION
- Gilboy started the scoring for the Purple Knights in the top of the first with a two-out double that plated Evan Balian and Moynihan.
- The Golden Knights responded with five runs in the bottom half of the inning, keyed by Benedetto's two-run triple.
- Giardina launched a two-run homer to right field in the second inning to cut the deficit to one.
- Saint Rose responded with three runs in the top of the second to make the score 8-4.
- Arsenault walked with the bases loaded in the top of the third, but Gendron singled in two runs in the bottom half of the inning to extend the lead to five.
- The Golden Knights scored seven runs between the fifth and sixth innings to pull away from the Purple Knights.
