Eleven Goal Scorers Propel Women's Lacrosse Past AIC

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Eleven goal scorers propelled the Saint Michael's College women's lacrosse team past Northeast-10 Conference foe American International College, 21-8, on Saturday night at Abdow Field. The victory was the first of first-year head coach Ashley Snow's Saint Michael's tenure.

THE ACTION
  • Drislane had two goals and Lynch one during the opening 3:39 of the contest to provide the visitors a 3-0 lead.
  • AIC used a mini 2-1 spurt, with Galgay and Walz wrapping goals around Murphy's first tally, to make it 4-2 by 4:19 of the first quarter.
  • Lynch scored twice in an ensuing 6-1 run during a 6:57 stretch, and the visitors led 10-3 by 11:23 of the second period.
  • After AIC scored twice in 45 seconds, Saint Michael's pulled away with another 6-1 run, leading 16-6 thanks to Murphy netting a pair in the stretch.
  • Walz scored twice in the latter half of the third quarter, but five Purple Knights scored in a game-ending 5-0 run.
