COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College men's basketball team lost to 21st-ranked Pace University, 77-58, on Saturday during Northeast-10 Conference action in the Ross Sports Center. The Setters were 21st in both the D2 CSC and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) national polls this week.

THE ACTION
- The Purple Knights shot 47.1% from three-point range (8-for-17) in the first half while holding Pace to 22.2% (2-for-9) shooting from deep, all of which keyed the hosts forging a 25-11 lead by the 9:30 mark, when senior CJ Crews (Tampa, Fla./Bayshore Christian School) hit his team's fifth three.
- The Setters slowly crept back into the game, using a 19-7 run to trail only 32-30 on Kealey's fastbreak basket at 3:06.
- Duniver drained consecutive threes 42 seconds apart before De Leon's driving lay-in at 1:25 pushed the lead back to 10, at 40-30.
- Adams and Boyd hit threes on each side of the halftime intermission to cut the hole to four points, but the Purple Knights twice went back in front by nine, including on redshirt first-year Marcus Meeks' (Prairie Village, Kan./Brewster Academy) lay-up with 11:56 to go (53-44).
- Adams and Alexander both scored six points to lead four scorers as Pace netted the next 22 points, ultimately leading by as many as 21 points in the waning seconds of the game.
