COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College women's basketball team downed regionally-ranked Adelphi University, 47-43, on Sunday during Northeast-10 Conference play in the Ross Sports Center. The Panthers were eighth in the latest D2 CSC East Region poll.

THE ACTION
- Adelphi led 6-0 on sophomore Isabella Asencio's basket at 7:32 of the opening quarter.
- Furch knocked down a three-pointer to spark a go-ahead 7-0 counter, but Robinson scored the first four points of a 6-2 stretch that put her team up 12-9.
- Down 14-12, the Purple Knights put together a 10-0 run, keyed by five points from Santos. Robinson scored the half's final four points, and the hosts were up 24-20 at halftime.
- Furch opened the third quarter with consecutive hoops before Talbot's jumper at 6:17 extended the lead to 32-23.
- Those were the Purple and Gold's final points of the stanza, and first-year Madison Williams' jumper at 9:04 of the fourth capped a go-ahead 10-0 run.
- That marked the first of four leads changes in a matter of 3:07 until Blake gave the Purple Knights the lead for good on a jumper with 5:12 to go (40-38).
- Another O'Connell three had the Panthers within 42-41 at 3:37, but Talbot drilled a jumper 34 seconds later, and Saint Michael's held Adelphi without points on its next four possessions while extending the lead to six. O'Connell's jumper created a 47-43 margin with 19 seconds to go, but the visitors came no closer.
