COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College women's tennis team lost to Franklin Pierce University, 6-1, during Northeast 10 Conference play on Wednesday at the SMC Tennis Courts.

Both lost 6-2 decisions.
• In the third slot, sophomores Annabelle Aldrete (Wichita, Kan./Andover eCademy) and Jedidah Xu (Ellington, Conn./Ellington) led 2-1 before falling by a 6-3 count.
• Gredenhag opened singles play with a 6-1, 7-5 loss at No. 3 before McPherson fell by a 6-3, 7-5 count in the top position.
• Larsen trimmed the deficit to 3-1 behind a 6-0, 4-6, 6-3 win in the second spot.
• Sophomores Katie Rocha (Stratham, N.H./Exeter) and Kasey Johnson (Naples, Maine/Lake Region) followed with straight-set losses at No. 5 and 6, respectively, before Xu lost at No. 4, 6-4, 3-6, 6-1.
