PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - The regionally-ranked Saint Michael's College women's soccer team lost to Pace University, 4-2, on Saturday during a Northeast 10 Conference affair in Northwell Stadium. The Purple Knights were ninth in this week's United Soccer Coaches East Region poll.

THE ACTION
- Carr put the Setters ahead in the 12th minute, taking first-year Madison Pieloch's through ball behind the final defender and finishing beyond a rushing Laizer.
- Carr scored again in the 23rd minute, receiving Klosek's ball over the top before jostling 1-on-1 with her defender and getting a quick touch beyond the charging netminder.
- The Purple Knights halved their deficit at 56:06, when Brookes finished from the edge of the box after taking Gormley's pass into space.
- Senior Ava Viebrock reestablished the two-goal edge in the 73rd minute, chipping an arcing shot over Laizer and just inside the right netting.
- Maluf buried a long free kick in the 83rd minute to again cut the deficit to a single tally, slipping a shot just between the crossbar and Fiore's punch attempt.
- First-year Milani Thompson sealed the win a little less than four minutes later when her free kick from 30 yards out drifted to the far side of the net.
