Field Hockey Loses at Bentley

WALTHAM, Mass. - The Saint Michael's College field hockey team lost to Bentley University, 6-0, on Sunday at the Bentley Turf Field. The Northeast 10 Conference counterparts played a non-league affair.

  • With 263 saves this fall, Cameron is tied for fifth in NCAA Division II history, recording the most since 2017. She is now third in NE10 annals.
  • Cameron pushed her career save total to 441, passing Nicki Collette '99 (421) and former teammate Riley O'Connor '25 (437) to take over second in program history. She trails only Jean Harbeck '90 (455). Cameron is 15th in NE10 history in career saves.
THE ACTION
  • Bentley scored three times in the opening 3:50 to take control. After Cameron made a diving stick save that deflected the ball off of the crossbar in the first minute, Carey backhanded home a rebound 44 seconds in.
  • Carey made it 2-0 at 1:58 after an initial shot was blocked and Cameron recorded consecutive saves.
  • Moore scored twice and first-year Makenzie Dutch added a tally before the end of the opening stanza.
  • In the 23rd minute, sophomore Ceara Murphy (Fall Church City, Va./Meridian) forced a giveaway in the Bentley circle and sent a shot on Heryla, who kicked the bid away.
