Women's Volleyball Loses NE10 Contest at Franklin Pierce, 3-1

RINDGE, N.H. - The Saint Michael's College women's volleyball team lost to Franklin Pierce University, 3-1 (25-19, 25-15, 8-25, 25-17), during Northeast 10 Conference play on Tuesday in FPU Fieldhouse.

THE ACTION
  • The opening set featured eight ties and five lead changes. Schulze's kill had Saint Michael's up 14-11 before Hiatt dropped three kills in a 6-0 run to put the Ravens ahead for good.
  • Franklin Pierce scored 10 of the first 11 points in the second set.
  • On the strength of four Schulze kills, Saint Michael's led 10-2 in set No. 3 and never looked back.
  • King's kill had the Purple Knights within 15-14 in the fourth set, but the hosts netted the next four points and the visitors never again trailed by fewer than four points.
