SAN RAFAEL, Calif. - The Saint Michael's College women's lacrosse team opened the season with a 17-8 loss to Dominican University of California on Thursday at Kennelly Field.

THE ACTION
  • Johnson scored once and handed out two assists in helping the Penguins lead 7-0 by the time 35 seconds remained in the first quarter.
  • Hamilton scored twice in the second frame, including making it 10-4 on a woman-up marker with 2:08 to go.
  • Hamilton finished off a 6-3 spurt with five seconds left in the third to bring Saint Michael's within 13-8.
  • Dominican did all of the scoring in the final frame, as four different players found the back of the net. Pieri had a goal and two helpers in the stanza.
