FRANCONIA, N.H. - Saint Michael's College Alpine skiing senior
Helene Kristoffersen (Rælingen, Norway/Dønski VGS) and junior
Gray Flanagan (West Burke, Vt./Green Mountain Valley School) both finished in the top seven of the giant slalom on Friday at the University of New Hampshire Carnival at Cannon Mountain Ski Area. Kristoffersen wrapped up her second Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) GS points championship in three years. The event triples as the EISA Championship and the NCAA East Regional Championship.

CARNIVAL FACTS
- The Purple Knight women placed fifth in the giant slalom (71), while the men were eighth (56), 10 points outside the top five.
- The men's and women's Alpine squads combined for fifth place on Friday with 127 points.
- Between the Alpine and Nordic teams, Saint Michael's stands fifth among 14 schools with 255 points. The College has never finished higher than sixth at the EISA Championship in the league's modern era, since 1994.
