COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College men's and women's swimming & diving teams each earned College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America team awards for the fall semester. Saint Michael's was one of 52 NCAA Division II institutions whose men's and women's squads were both lauded.
 
The Purple Knight women drew the CSCAA Scholar All-America team honor for the 21st time in 24 cycles, and the men were recognized for the 16th time in the past 20 semesters. Eileen Hall is amid her 15th season as head coach of both programs, as Saint Michael's was one of four Northeast-10 Conference school to have each of its teams recognized. Squads with a minimum 3.0 grade-point average last semester were lauded with the accolade.
 
With a 3.53 GPA, the Purple Knight women tied for 37th among 69 Division II teams on the 3.0 list this past semester, while the men, at 3.06, were in a field of 56. In all, 29 Purple Knights had at least a 3.0 term GPA during the fall.
 
The CSCAA Scholar All-America team award has been distributed each semester since the beginning of the 2013-14 school year after previously being an annual honor.
