GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - Senior
Jenna Devens (Parsippany, N.J./Parsippany) drilled a solo home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift the Saint Michael's College softball team past Adelphi University, 4-3, in the second game of a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader on Sunday at Janet L. Ficke Field. The Panthers, who played the visiting team after the twinbill was moved due to inclement weather in Vermont, took the opener, 5-3.

THE ACTION
- Sophomore Tori Parente and Shreter picked up RBI singles in a two-run second inning.
- Davidson's RBI double got her team on the board in the third, and Booska knocked a tying RBI single before Davidson scored the go-ahead run on an outfield error. The Purple Knights led 3-2 into the sixth inning.
- The Panthers tied the game on Montañez's RBI single in the sixth before Shreter stole home on the back end of a corners double steal with Montañez.
- First-year Reeghan McCarthy scored an insurance run with a seventh-inning groundout.
- Devens singled with one out in the home half, but Kenney retired the final two hitters, both of which represented the tying run.

THE ACTION
- Pearson homered leading off the second inning before Pasqueralli doubled and scored to make it 3-0 in the third.
- After being shut out on two hits through the opening five innings, Saint Michael's tied the game with a three-run outburst on three hits and three errors in the home half of the sixth. Bishop's infield single plated Nickerson, who had led off with a double, before Davidson laid down a sacrifice bunt which was thrown away, bringing two more runs around to tie the game. With the bases loaded, Kenney came out of the bullpen to strike out the only batter she faced in the inning.
- Parker worked around a two-on, two-out situation in the top of the seventh to keep the teams tied.
- In the seventh, Devens drilled a 2-2 pitch over the fence in left center for her walk-off home run.
