126 Saint Michael's Student-Athletes Earn D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College saw 126 student-athletes earn Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Awards for the 2024-25 school year, the organization announced this week.

Saint Michael's was among 202 NCAA Division II institutions to have qualifiers, tying for 70th with the 126 honorees and placing fifth among Northeast 10 Conference members, and sixth in the East Region, which includes the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) and East Coast Conference (ECC).
 
To qualify for the accolade, student-athletes must have carried a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5 through the end of the spring semester while completing no less than their second year of college. Of the 22,756 Division II student-athletes to qualify nationwide, 874 hailed from six NE10 institutions, the 12th-highest figure in the nation. Saint Michael's broke 100 qualifiers for the fifth straight year, having totaled 122 for 2023-24, 117 for 2022-23, 132 for 2021-22, and 102 for 2020-21.
 
The Saint Michael's women's soccer team had a school-high 13 qualifiers, while four other squads had at least 10: men's ice hockey (12), Nordic skiing (12), Alpine skiing (11) and women's ice hockey (10). Women's cross country netted nine, baseball and softball both posted eight, while nine additional teams at least four qualifiers. Every program had at least one representative on the list.
