Women's Basketball Extends Winning Streak to Three with 58-55 Victory at Franklin Pierce

RINDGE, N.H. - The Saint Michael's College women's basketball team won their third straight game on Tuesday, downing Franklin Pierce University, 58-55, during Northeast 10 Conference play at FPU Fieldhouse.

THE ACTION
  • Santos scored five points en route to the Purple Knights leading 14-5 by 4:01 of the first period.
  • The Ravens used a 27-8 run to take a 34-24 lead into halftime, keyed greatly by their 7-of-8 three-point shooting in the first half, including 5-of-5 in the second stanza.
  • Tyler scored the first six points of an 8-0 run to start the third quarter, and MacDonough's free throw at 3:23 put the Purple Knights up 41-40.
  • Murray buried a three-pointer at 5:21 of the fourth that gave her team a 48-46 lead, but Talbot put home the tying lay-in 1:07 later before Tyler's freebies at 3:34 put the visitors ahead for good.
