SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The second-place Saint Michael's College men's basketball team defeated Northeast 10 Conference foe American International College, 68-57, on Wednesday evening at Butova Gymnasium for its 10th win in 12 games.

THE ACTION

• The teams played through four lead changes and three ties during the opening 15-plus minutes of the contest, as neither led by more than three points until Briscoe's lay-up put Saint Michael's ahead 24-19 at 4:14.
• AIC used a 13-4 run that bridged halftime, keyed by eight Walczak points, to lead 32-28 30 seconds into the second half.
• Kenney tallied five points in a 12-4 response that swung the Purple Knights ahead for good.
