WATERVILLE, Maine - Saint Michael's College Nordic skiing junior Oliver Miatke (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) finished a career-high sixth in the mass-start 20K freestyle on Friday during the Colby College Carnival at Quarry Road Recreation Area. He and the men's Nordic squad placed fifth among 11 schools in the event.
 
CARNIVAL FACTS

• Men's Nordic skiing totaled 81 points to place fifth, within range of Middlebury College (90), Colby (93) and Dartmouth College (98). The women claimed eighth place (43) among 11 schools.
• Between the men and women, Saint Michael's Nordic skiing scored seventh-place points (124) on Friday.
• Alpine skiing completed its half of the Colby Carnival last weekend. Heading into Saturday's final day of competition, Saint Michael's stands sixth among 14 schools with 315.5 points.
