COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College men's basketball team lost for just the second time in 10 games on Tuesday, dropping a 94-83 decision to Bentley University during Northeast 10 Conference action in the Ross Sports Center. It was also only the Purple Knights' third setback since early December.

THE ACTION
- The Purple Knights scored 14 straight points in a matter of 2:59 to lead 17-7 at 13:31 of the first half, keyed by 3-of-4 three-point shooting.
- Three Falcons hit threes by 11:55 to trim the deficit to 17-16, and Bentley ultimately finished a 13-5 run when Farrall's pair of free throws put his team ahead 29-25 with 6:57 to go.
- Littleton (6 points) and Briscoe (5) did all of the scoring in an 11-0 response, and the hosts pushed their lead to 50-34 just 37 seconds into the second half when Floyd made two free throws. The Purple Knights shot 9-of-16 from three-point range in the first half alone while starting 11-of-18.
- After Littleton's triple created a 56-41 cushion at 17:02, Carroll connected on three threes and McClure hit a pair during a 23-4 run that put Bentley ahead 64-60 by 10:15.
- The Purple Knights twice trimmed their deficit to a single point, but Carroll made two more treys to cap a 13-0 stretch that yielded an 80-66 lead for Bentley with 5:43 to go. In all, the Falcons shot 9-of-12 from deep in the second half.
- Saint Michael's quickly whittled the margin down to five points three times, including as Marold went 2-of-2 at the charity stripe with 1:32 left (86-81), but McClure hit a mid-range jumper 26 seconds later and the hosts turned the ball over on their next possession, helping the Falcons to secure the win.
