Wist Places 16th in Freestyle Sprint During Saint Lawrence Carnival

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - Junior Henrik Wist's (Trondheim, Norway/Heimdal VGS) 16th-place freestyle sprint performance highlighted the Saint Michael's College Nordic skiing team's Tuesday races during the Saint Lawrence University Carnival at Mount Van Hoevenberg.

CARNIVAL FACTS

After also racing on Sunday, the Nordic squad finished competition at the carnival eighth among 11 schools with 216 points.
On Tuesday alone, the men claimed sixth place with 64 points, eight shy of fifth-place Dartmouth College.
The University of Vermont won the Nordic portion of the carnival with 470 points.
The Alpine segment of the Saint Lawrence Carnival will take place on Jan. 22-23 at Whiteface Mountain.
Tuesday's races were part of the U.S. Cross Country National Championships, which drew nearly 700 athletes.
