 THE ACTION

• Combe put the Skyhawks on the board with 4:23 gone, knocking home a rebound from the doorstep after her initial shot was blocked by first-year Brie Gruber (Green Bay, Wis./NAHA White 19U AAA).
• Later in the frame, Bendickson sent a shot from the slot just wide of the right post before her follow-up bid from the right circle was denied by Duffer's pad save at 11:20.
• Harb made it 2-0 at 14:38, picking DeMarinis' blocker corner from the slot.
• Only 46 seconds into the second period, sophomore Kali Boychuk (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan/Windsor Southwest Wildcats) snuck behind the net and stole the puck from a Skyhawk before her wraparound attempt was stopped at the left post by Duffer.
• First-year Kate Louder (Holden, Mass./NAHA White 19U AAA) was stopped to cap a give-and-go through the left circle with junior Brianna Jarvis (Swanton, Vt./BFA-Saint Albans), sending a backhanded shot from out front into Duffer's body at 3:38.
• DeMarinis turned away sophomore Maddie Bibeau's breakaway bid at 16:16 with her right arm.
• Stonehill scored a pair of late goals to pull away. Spadone buried sophomore Masyn Mullin's backdoor pass at 18:36, and Harb picked DeMarinis' blocker side with 13.8 seconds to go.
• The Skyhawks' lone goal of the third period came after DeMarinis denied three straight shots in succession and sophomore Kaydence Carpenter (Phoenix, Ariz./Arizona Kachinas 19U AAA) blocked another bid, but that rebounded toward the left post where Whynot tallied at 4:54.
• Sophomore Tessa Moore (Wheeling, W.Va./Linsly School) averted further damage by clearing a shot that had trickled through DeMarinis off the goal line at 7:18.
