FAST FACTS
In their first season under head coach Jack Fitzgerald, the Purple Knights shattered school records for goals-against average (2.30) and save percentage (.939), won 16 games, and earned the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye into the semifinal round of the Northeast 10 Conference Championship. As host of No. 3 Saint Anselm College, the Purple and Gold lost, 3-2, in the semifinals in triple overtime - the longest game in NE10 history ... eight of the Purple Knights' top nine scorers return, as do the team's primary three centers, who combined to win 49.5% of their faceoffs ... junior Evan Plunkett (Charlotte, N.C./Holderness School), a two-time all-conference goalie, is the lone returning netminder. He already holds the school record for career shutouts (6) and is also within 10 wins of that record. Two first-year goalies join him ... of the 11 defensemen on the roster, five seek their first action as collegians ... American International College moves from Division I play to NE10 competition for the first time, creating a seven-team league and setting up three-game regular-season series between squads.
