Miatke's Sixth-Place Finish Leads Four Purple Knights in Top 20 at Williams Carnival

WOODFORD, Vt. - Saint Michael's College Nordic skiing junior Oliver Miatke (Duluth, Minn./East) placed sixth on Friday during the Williams College Carnival 10K freestyle to highlight a quartet of Purple Knights in the top 20 at Prospect Mountain.

CARNIVAL FACTS

The men netted their third fourth-place finish of the season, with one at each of the past three carnivals. The Purple Knights scored 89 points to narrowly trail third-place Colby College (92) and runner-up Middlebury College (98). The women claimed seventh place (51).
Between the teams, Nordic skiing stood sixth out of 11 schools on Friday with 140 points, within range of fifth-place Bowdoin College (145) and fourth-place University of New Hampshire (154).
Between the Nordic and Alpine skiing teams, Saint Michael's stands sixth among 14 schools at the carnival, with its 253 points six short of fifth-place Colby.
