Men's Nordic Skiing Relay Finishes Fourth at Williams Carnival

WOODFORD, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College Nordic skiing team saw the men place fourth in the 3x5K classic relay on Saturday during the Williams College Carnival at Prospect Mountain.

CARNIVAL FACTS

The men placed fourth but scored third-place points (96) after University of Vermont trios occupied both first and third; only one team per school was eligible to score points.
For the weekend, the Nordic men placed third with 185 points, trimming fourth-place Middlebury College by a single point while trailing runner-up Dartmouth College by only six points.
The men and women combined to score fifth-place points on Saturday (142), holding off sixth-place University of New Hampshire by five points.
The Purple Knight Nordic squad tallied 282 points for the carnival, placing sixth, only nine points shy of New Hampshire for fifth place.
Between the Nordic and Alpine teams, Saint Michael's finished sixth among 14 schools at the carnival with 504 points, just 26 short of fifth-place Colby College.
Dartmouth won the carnival with 935 points.

NEXT SAINT MICHAEL'S EVENT

Friday at Middlebury College Carnival, 10 a.m.
The event triples as the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) Championship and the NCAA East Regional Championship.
