COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College men's tennis team lost to Adelphi University, 6-1, during Northeast 10 Conference play on Saturday in the Tarrant Recreation Center. Three of the Purple Knights' singles losses came in three sets, while the doubles point was decided via a tiebreaker in the final contest.

- The Purple Knights nearly took the doubles point from Adelphi, which was 8-1 in doubles during its last three NE10 matches. After the Panthers captured the first contest at No. 3, Lundholm and Macpherson teamed for a 6-4 victory in the second spot by knocking off the 10th-ranked tandem in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Region poll, which was 4-0 against Division II teams this school year.
- With a chance to take the doubles point, juniors Viktor Boban (Zagreb, Croatia/Franjo Bucar/Frostburg State) and Garrett Brooker (Charleston, S.C./Oceanside Collegiate Academy) lost a 7-6 (8-6) decision at No. 1 to the fifth-ranked duo in the region, which improved to 7-1 this season.
- Adelphi won the first five singles contests, including three in three sets.
- After Boban was downed by the 12th-ranked player in the region in the second slot, Macpherson only lost 7-5, 6-3 at No. 4.
- Senior Julius van den Broek (Bergschenhoek, The Netherlands/Wolfert Lyceum) then fell by a 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 count in the top position against the East's eighth-ranked player, who was a quarterfinalist at the fall 2025 ITA East Regional Championship.
- Brooker suffered a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 setback at No. 3 and Lundholm was defeated 2-6, 6-1, 10-6 at No. 5.
- Koppelmans capped the contest with a 7-6 (7-5), 4-6, 10-8 triumph in the sixth position.
