STOWE, Vt. - Saint Michael's College Alpine skiing sophomore
Isabella Knutsen (Bergen, Vestland, Norway/Norges Toppidrettsgymnas Geilo) placed 11th in the giant slalom on Thursday at Stowe Mountain Resort to highlight the Purple Knights' opening day at the three-day University of Vermont Carnival. Alpine races conclude on Friday, when Nordic kicks off a weekend of competition in Craftsbury.
CARNIVAL FACTS
- The Saint Michael's Alpine squad totaled eighth-place points on Friday (104.5), only three short of seventh-place Colby College. Boston College (134.5) and Plymouth State University (142) were also within range.
