CRAFTSBURY, Vt. - Junior Henrik Wist (Trondheim, Norway/Heimdal VGS) placed fourth in the classic sprint on Friday during the University of Vermont Carnival at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center, leading a contingent of six Purple Knights who advanced out of the morning heats.
 
CARNIVAL FACTS

• Skiers that placed among the top 50 in the morning heats advanced to 10-skier quarterfinals. The semifinals and finals also consisted of 10-skier fields.
• The Nordic men scored fourth-place points among 11 schools on Friday, netting 81 to trail third-place Williams College by 14. The women were eighth (39).
• Saint Michael's Nordic skiing is tied with Williams for seventh with 120 points between the men and women.
• With Nordic halfway done at the carnival and Alpine complete, Saint Michael's stands sixth among 14 schools with 304.5 points.
