• Dans made 20 saves during a shutout opening period.
• Gratton put home a rebound 1:37 into the second frame, and Hanrahan picked the far corner from the right circle during a power play at 5:03.
• Dans turned aside another 20 shots in the stanza, but Kirkeby added to the lead on a third effort at 17:47. Hanrahan tallied 42 seconds into the third period.
• The Purple Knights got a goal back at 8:09, as Gerebi forced a takeaway behind the net before feeding the slot for Weatherred, who one-timed a shot to Fournier's blocker corner.
• Assumption tacked on two more goals, including one with 2:02 to go on a power play.
