McCollor and Miatke Nab Top-12 Showings During UVM Carnival 10K Freestyle

CRAFTSBURY, Vt. - Saint Michael's College Nordic skiing junior Oliver Miatke (Duluth, Minn./Duluth East) and sophomore Daniel McCollor (Wayzata, Minn./Wayzata) both registered top-12 finishes in the University of Vermont Carnival 10K freestyle on Saturday at the Craftsbury Outdoor Center.

CARNIVAL FACTS

The men placed fifth among 11 schools on Saturday with 81 points, narrowly trailing fourth-place Colby College (87), third-place Middlebury College (92) and runner-up Dartmouth College (93).
The men placed sixth at the carnival with 162 points, just short of fifth-place Colby (164) and Williams College (164) and third-place Dartmouth (169).
Between the Nordic and Alpine skiing teams, Saint Michael's placed sixth among 14 schools at the carnival, totaling 417.5 points.
Vermont won the carnival with 846 points.
