GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - The Saint Michael's College women's basketball team lost to Adelphi University, 55-48, on Saturday during Northeast 10 Conference play in the Center for Recreation and Sport. With five regular-season games remaining, the Purple Knights are tied with the Panthers and Saint Anselm College for sixth in the NE10 standings; the league's top seven qualify for the NE10 Championship.

THE ACTION
- Saint Michael's scored the game's first four points and led 9-4 on Montplaisir's three-pointer at 6:16 of the first quarter.
- An 8-0 Adelphi run swung the lead in the hosts' favor, but the Purple Knights netted the next six points to go ahead 17-15 by 7:08 of the second stanza.
- The Panthers countered with a 10-1 run by 1:55 and led 31-20 on Morales' steal and fastbreak lay-up at 9:08 of the third quarter.
- Saint Michael's utilized a 17-5 stretch to go up 41-39 on Tyler's putback at 7:53 of the fourth quarter. Montplaisir netted eight of her team's points.
- However, the Panthers netted 10 of the next 12 points and never again led by fewer than four points.
