Women's Lacrosse Falls at No. 19 Dominican New York, 13-8

ORANGEBURG, N.Y. - The Saint Michael's College women's lacrosse team lost to 19th-ranked Dominican University New York, 13-8, on Tuesday at O'Brien Field. The Chargers, who advanced to the second round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament, earned their national ranking according to this week's Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) national poll.

THE ACTION
  • Conover scored at 12:50 of the second period to stake the Purple Knights to their third one-goal advantage, 3-2, before Mileti netted a goal and added an assist in a 3-0 Charger response.
  • Saint Michael's twice trimmed its deficit to a single goal, for the final time on Adams' strike at 8:08 of the third quarter off of Sullivan's feed, and the visitors were down 6-5.
  • Dominican pulled away on the strength of a 6-1 run, during which Grella netted a hat trick and Mileti scored twice while adding an assist.
  • Adams (1:38) and Lynch (1:04) scored 34 seconds apart late to make it a 12-8 game, but the Chargers won the next draw before junior Alexa Preston added insurance with 23 ticks to go.
