Softball Loses Pair at 2025 National Semifinalist Pace

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - The Saint Michael's College softball team was swept by 2025 national semifinalist Pace University, 10-0 in five innings and 3-1, on Saturday at the Pace Softball Field. The teams both opened Northeast 10 Conference play with the doubleheader.

  • Poplawski's two-out RBI double in the first inning plated an unearned run, and Jenkins' RBI knock back through the box with two out in the third made it 2-0.
  • The Purple Knights got a run back in the sixth thanks to Liimatainen's sac fly, and Davidson stole second to move into scoring position with two down before being stranded.
  • First-year Ashley Field came through with another two-out RBI in the home half, knocking a double.
  • Saint Michael's went down in order in the seventh.
