THE ACTION

- Davidson led off the sixth with a single before the next two Purple Knights were retired, but Booska (RBI), Flaherty, Nickerson (RBI) and Owens followed with four consecutive singles to put their team up 2-1.
- With one out in the seventh, first-year Ava Edmond came off the bench to slug an opposite-field solo home run to tie the game. Luna doubled with two out before Davidson fanned the final batter to force extra innings.
- Davidson left two Setters on base in the eighth before Bull dropped an RBI single into left field with two down in the ninth to give the visitors a 3-2 edge. However, Field's RBI knock tied it in the home half. Luna nearly won the game after blasting a double off the fence in left, but a 7-5-2 relay to the plate cut down Field trying to score the winning run. - Davidson started the 10th on second base with the International Tiebreaker in effect but never got further than third base.
- In the home half, Jenkins started on second base before King walked with one down. On the next pitch, Picerno launched a three-run, walk-off home run to straightaway center field.
