Women's Lacrosse Loses at 16th-Ranked Adelphi

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - The Saint Michael's College women's lacrosse team lost to No. 16 Adelphi University, 16-7, on Saturday during Northeast 10 Conference play at Motamed Field. The Panthers' national ranking was according to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).

  • Conover's goal at 8:36 of the first quarter halved her team's deficit to 2-1, and she tallied a woman-up strike at 13:34 of the second to bring Saint Michael's within 4-2.
  • Colalillo, Kolomechuk and Leggio combined to score seven times during Adelphi's ensuing 9-0 run.
  • Hamilton, Lynch and Krawciw all scored in a 2:01 spurt that made it 13-5 at 4:13 of the third, but the visitors came no closer.
