COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College softball team lost both ends of a Northeast 10 Conference doubleheader to regionally-ranked Adelphi University, 11-3 in five innings and 4-1, on Sunday at Doc Jacobs Field. The Panthers were considered for the initial NCAA East Region rankings.

THE ACTION
- Priest led off the game with a home run before Nordahl put the Purple Knights ahead with a two-out, two-run double to straightaway center field in the home half of the first inning.
- The Panthers plated seven runs on six hits in the third, when Klepper and Priest both legged out two-run triples and junior Makayla Comer added a two-run double to help the visitors pull away.

THE ACTION
- Klepper's two-out RBI single put the Panthers ahead for good in the first inning, and Moore's two-run homer to the opposite field extended the lead to 3-0 in the third.
- Sophomore Ella Nickerson (South Portland, Maine/South Portland) got the Purple Knights on the board with a sac fly in the bottom half.
- Parente scored on a groundout in the fourth to reestablish the three-run lead.
- The Purple Knights loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the seventh before Kenney fanned the next batter and got the final hitter to pop out.
